Dolphins, Redhawks, Lady Elks net victories

CLEAR LAKE – Deubrook Area swept Deuel 25-20, 25-9, 25-14 in a nonconference volleyball match Tuesday night.

Claire Olsen recorded 10 kills and six digs for the Dolphins.

Shaylee DeBeer had nine kills and 13 set assists.

Sarah Urevig dished out 15 set assists and came up with seven digs. Courtni Frank notched 10 digs and Andrea Vandermeer six. Ashley Vandermeer and Andrea Vandermeer both tallied a pair of service aces and one solo block.

The Cardinals’ Jaydyn TeGantvoort had six kills, Twyla Rossow five and Kendra Damm four. Damm also had a solo block and an ace.

Deuel (3-15) plays host to Britton-Hecla on Thursday. Deubrook Area (11-6) is host to Chester Area on Monday.

Lake Preston 0

ESTELLINE – The Redhawks posted a 25-20, 25-10, 25-15 Dakota Valley Conference win over the Divers.

Abigail Satterlee, Sophie Johnson and Kylie Beare recorded seven kills apiece.

Brinn Begalka dished out 20 set assists. Johnson came up with nine digs and Chandelle Thompson contributed eight.

Tasha Vohlken netted four service aces, and Satterlee and Johnson both added three. Satterlee also recorded a block.

Lake Preston’s Lindsay Hillestad had eight kills and a block. Lexie Larsen notched four kills, nine set assists and three digs.

Holly Andrews finished with 14 digs. Annika Nelson tallied two kills.

On Tuesday, Estelline/Hendricks (9-7, 2-2) heads to Flandreau Indian School and Lake Preston (2-12, 0-4) plays at Great Plains Lutheran.

Baltic 1

ELKTON – The Lady Elks pulled out a 25-23, 21-25, 25-13, 25-21 victory.

Hannah Krog led the way with 16 kills, three aces and four digs.

Baylee Jandahl had 10 kills, two aces, a solo block and four digs. Aubrey Wirth contributed seven kills, two aces and two solo blocks. Emily Miller added seven kills and one solo block.

Julia Drietz totaled 30 set assists, two aces and four digs. Jesse Busselman and Brooklyn Nielsen each came up with five digs.

The Lady Bulldogs’ Sami Polzin notched 17 kills and three aces. Shelby Dosch added 12 kills, three aces and 19 digs.

Amber Hartman tallied 20 digs and a pair of aces.. Hartman (14) and Dosch (11) combined for 25 set assists.

Elkton-Lake Benton (5-8) is host to Dell Rapids St. Mary and Baltic (3-9) plays host to Parker on Thursday.

• Milbank 3, Sioux Valley 1

VOLGA – The Bulldogs defeated the Cossacks 25-15, 27-25, 17-25, 25-13 in a nonconference match.

Gabbi Cummings had 15 kills, 14 set assists, 12 digs and four service aces.

Makayla Johnson added 11 kills and 2 1/2 blocks (two solo). Jaecy Engebretson had eight kills, nine set assists and six digs. Jaden Hoeke contributed six kills, three aces and six digs.

Katie Wollschlager came up with 19 digs. Amy Nelson added three aces.

Sioux Valley’s Miakken Vincent totaled 12 kills, two aces and 19 digs.

Perri Liedtke had seven kills and Rylan Willis six.

Bekah Bahn notched 28 digs and Willis added 10. Willis and Alicia VanderWal both netted three aces.

Milbank (7-8) plays host to Hamlin on Thursday. Sioux Valley (5-14) competes in the Sanford Pentagon Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.

• Canistota 3, Colman-Egan 1

COLMAN – Canistota dropped Colman-Egan 25-18, 30-32, 25-14, 25-10.

Jordan Engbrecht had 20 kills, Harley Cormany 11 and Noelle Hofer 10 in the win.

Hannah Parry dished out 37 set assists and added three aces. Cassidy Keller had four aces and Cormany recorded a trio of blocks. Keller came up with 18 digs.

Colman-Egan’s Elizabeth Moore finished with six kills, two aces and 12 digs. Olivia Baumberger had five kills.

Braiden Westley totaled three aces and 15 digs. Katie Hannasch had four blocks and Madison Voelker added three. Kennedi Landis (12) and Jordan Wittrock (seven) combined for 19 set assists.

Canisotota (11-3) plays host to Bridgewater-Emery and Colman-Egan (7-4) is host to Howard on Thursday.

• McCook Central/Montrose 3,

Flandreau 0

FLANDREAU – The Fighting Cougars swept the Fliers 25-17, 25-21, 25-11 in a Big East Conference match.

MCM’s Aleah Ries had nine kills, Kenna Kranz added seven and Morgan Erikson contributed six.

Emily Bies guided the offense with 27 digs, while Ries (14) and Kranz (12) combined for 26 digs to pace the defense. Hope Bartmann netted three aces and Abigail Van Ruler notched two blocks.

Flandreau’s Melina Matthys had five kills and a block. Mariana Pavlis added four kills to go with an ace.

Macy Kneebone (nine) and Jaycie Pulscher (six) combined for 15 set assists. Anna Gassman recorded 10 digs and an ace. Madison Kontz added four digs and Kennedy Headrick had one block.

Both teams return to action Thursday, with the Fighting Cougars (12-3, 5-0) playing host to Parkston in Salem and the Fliers (12-8, 2-1) heading to Dell Rapids.
