Donna Mae Lienemann, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at The Neighborhoods at Brookview in Brookings.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Brookings, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial is in Greenwood Cemetery.
Donna Mae Lienemann was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Elkton, the daughter of Benjamin and Mildred (Bebensee) Youngmon.
Donna received her education in the Brookings schools and was a graduate of Brookings High School in 1951. She later attended General Beadle College in Madison for a short time, before receiving her teaching certificate. She then taught rural school in Brookings County for one year. Donna was married to John Lienemann on Feb. 28, 1953. After raising her family, she was employed on a part-time basis at various places in the Salem community.
Donna was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Brookings, and was active on the Stewardship committee and served as a Sunday School Teacher.
She enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children: Michael (Sandy) Lienemann of Lake City, Fla., Steven (Barbara) Lienemann of Morris, Minn., Gregory (Gayle) Lienemann of Denver, Jill Lienemann of North Richland Hills, Texas, Kimberly Ramaker of Rosemount, Minn.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one brother Larry (Mary) Youngmon of Sioux Falls.
