BROOKINGS – Critically-acclaimed rock band The Doobie Brothers will perform Oct. 2 at the Swiftel Center in Brookings.
Tickets start at $35 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Swiftel Center Box Office and online at www.ticketmaster.com. Limited VIP packages will be available.
The announcement follows the news that the band’s historic return to the Beacon Theatre for the first time in 25 years to perform its landmark albums, Toulouse Street and The Captain and Me, will be released on June 28.
The Doobie Brothers have been delivering roots-based, harmony-laden, guitar-driven rock and roll for more than four decades, selling more than 48 million albums and winning four Grammy awards.
The Doobie Brothers continue to write and record new material and tour the world. The band will join Santana for an extensive tour across the U.S. this summer. Their No. 1 singles “Black Water” and “What a Fool Believes,” both gold, lead a catalog of indelible songs.
In all, the Doobies have tallied up five top 10 singles and 16 top 40 hits. The Doobies have three multi-platinum, seven platinum, and 14 gold albums.
