It is with heavy hearts that the Family of Edith Ellen Korzeniowski share her passing on Thursday, December 6th from the final stage of Alzheimer’s in very peaceful surroundings with her family by her side at the age of 75. Ellen is survived by her husband, Stan; one of two daughters, Pam and husband, Steve, two grandsons, two sisters, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Ellen is preceded in death by her daughter, Susie, two brothers, and her parents.

Ellen was known for her compassion, sweetness, helpfulness, and incredible strength! Ellen was not about what she had; she was about what she gave!

Ellen was born in Swan Lake, Manitoba, Canada on November 16, 1943 to her parents, Bill (William) and Ivy (Rayson) Booth. She had two older brothers and two younger sisters. Ellen moved to Brandon, Manitoba, Canada and worked at a nursing home when she met Stanley Korzeniowski, and they married on February 29, 1964 in Calgary, AB, Canada. While Stan worked for Mayrath Industries, Ellen was a supporting, loving wife and amazing mother to two fantastic daughters.

They continued raising their family and working side by side by entering into business together. Their first adventure was Colonial Village Mobile Home Park in Brookings, where they also lived. Managing various other rental properties in Brookings followed. They also owned and managed Valley Village in Volga. After both daughters ended up living in a warmer climate for school and beyond, Stan and Ellen also called Arizona their second home. Their adventures in owning and managing rental properties continued in Tucson, AZ, Show Low, and Sun Lakes, AZ.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life were held on Saturday, Jan. 12, in Sun Lakes, AZ

My dad, Stan, my husband, Steve, and I wish to extend our sincere thanks and deep gratitude to everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy, continued prayers, and acts of kindness extended to our entire Family during this time. A special “Thank You” to the Gardiner Home!
