Eldon B. Anderson, 77, Flandreau, died Friday, April 7, 2017, at Avera Flandreau Hospital. 

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with the family present one hour prior to the service.

Eldon was born June 15, 1939, at Marshall, Minn. to Orval and Florence (Larson) Anderson. He started his education at Marshall and graduated from Granite Falls High School. Eldon enlisted in the U.S. Marines and after his discharge he graduated with an economics degree from the University of Dominguez Hills, Carson, Calif.  He married Linda Baldwin in southern California and he worked for Hughes Aircraft Co. for many years until retiring in 1997. Eldon then spent his time between Flandreau and Apache Junction, Ariz. 

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, watching Jeopardy, socializing, and especially spending time with his kids and grandkids. 

Eldon is survived by his children: Maria (Lupe Ramirez) Anderson of Pasadena, Calif., Adam Anderson of Flandreau, Eric (Carla) Anderson of Apache Junction, Ariz., Gary Anderson of Camden, Tenn., and 10 grandchildren; a sister Patricia Elwood of Mankato, Minn., and a special friend Dick Grafing of Flandreau. 

Eldon was preceded in death by his wife Linda, daughter-in-law Toni, sister Janice, brother Keith, and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
