Estelline/Hendricks wins Class B state title; Kaylee Johnson T2

Sean Welsh/Register: Estelline/Hendricks’ Kaylee Johnson hits her tee shot on the par-3 second hole during the final round of the Class B State Girls’ Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Edgebrook.

BROOKINGS – Estelline/Hendricks won the Class B State Girls’ Golf Tournament, which concluded Tuesday at Edgebrook.

The Redhawks shot 274 in the final round for a 36-hole tally of 552 and a two-stroke victory.

Bison (269) was second at 554.

Deubrook Area (271) ended up third with a 564 tally.

Miller’s Jayce Pugh closed strong to take medalist honors, shooting a tourney-low 5-over-par 75. She finished with a 158 total.

Estelline/Hendricks’ Kaylee Johnson shot 81 and Bison’s Allison Kahler carded a 77 as they tied for second at 161.

Pugh and Johnson were tied heading to the 17th hole – the former finished par-bogey at the par-3 17th and par-4 18th while the latter made consecutive double-bogeys.

Bison’s Greta Anderson (87) placed fourth at 167 and Burke’s Adisyn Indahl (84) logged a 170 to take fifth.

EH’s Jesade Siverson (94) tied for 19th at 186; Sadie Johnson (99) tied for 43rd at 195; and Rachel Hexem (108) was 72nd at 214.

Bailey Landmark (86) paced the Dolphins, placing sixth at 173.

Abby Olson (92) tied for 26th at 189 and Kamryn Landmark (93) tied for 34th at 192.

Colman-Egan’s Berkley Groos capped a solid tourney by tying for 14th. She shot 89 in Round 2 and posted a 182 total.
