Ethan Gabriel Rosa Santos, 6, of Aurora, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls following an automobile accident.

Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish in Brookings. There will be no visitations.  Eidsness Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Ethan was born on Aug. 15, 2011, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Shalimar Santos and Gabriel Rosa. Ethan was a first grader at Dakota Prairie Elementary in Brookings.  He was an energetic, friendly, funny, happy, loving young man.  Ethan loved playing the piano, listening to music, watching PJ Mask (especially Gekko, because he has super muscle power, just like Ethan), Pokemon, eating ice cream, and playing his favorite sports of basketball and hockey.

Ethan truly enjoyed playing with his younger brother, Sebastian, his cat, Obi, riding bike with his daddy, and making crafts with his mommy.

Ethan was a member of St. Thomas More Parish; where he was in Religious Education Class on Wednesdays. Blue was Ethan’s favorite color, and due to his super muscles, he wanted to be a ninja.  Just before bed, his favorite song was “You Are My Sunshine”.

His loving heart and energetic spirit will be forever missed.

Survivors include his parents, Shalimar Santos and Gabriel Rosa; his brother, Sebastian; grandparents, Maria Luciano, Israel Cruz, Maria Ceballo, and Servio Hernandez; great-grandparents, Nicasia Mercado, and Eulogia Rodriguez; aunts, Angelica Hernandez, Tairi Rosa, Wilmarie Vargas, and Naishalie Santos; cousins, Nayelivette Rosa, Jose Rosa, and Nashalie Rosa; his classmates at Dakota Prairie Elementary, and a host of other relatives and friends.
