Brookings Health System and Community Blood Bank are joining forces to help ward off winter blood shortages by hosting a blood drive from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the Sioux Falls Regional Bloodmobile in the Brookings Hospital parking lot. All blood donations will stay local for local use. Bring an ID with you at the time of donation. Walk-ins are welcome; check in at the west entrance. The next Adult Craft Class at the Brookings Public Library is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the upstairs Cooper Room. This week, participants will make wire and nail polish flowers.
