Hop on out to the Swiftel Center for the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20. This free event opens at 9 a.m. with the hunt beginning at 10 a.m. sharp. Kids can hunt for candy, play games and win prizes. There will be a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. The hunt sections are grouped into age categories. All ages are welcome to the event; only children 12 and under can participate in the hunt. There is also a special Sensory Inclusive Area which is open to children of all ages.

Brookings Dance Club invites all dancers to its Prom Dance from 8 p.m.-midnight Saturday, April 20, at McKnight Community Hall in White. Live music will be provided by Family Tradition Band. Feeding South Dakota will provide free food for families in need at its next mobile food distribution from 10:15-11:15 p.m. Monday, April 22, in the Volga Community Center, 109 Samara Ave. Food distributions provide an assortment of food that may include frozen and fresh produce, frozen meats, assorted breads and/or canned and boxed items. Please bring something to carry your food in, such as coolers, bags or totes.

The Brookings Interfaith Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at United Church of Christ, Brookings. A potluck will be followed by a broad-ranging discussion regarding “Faith Responses to Refugees and Immigrants.” Come add your voice to a myth-busting exploration of immigration.
