BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University students Max Baloun and Melissa Hagedorn were week one winners of the “Your Shot to Win” City of Brookings COVID-19 vaccine incentive program. Each won a $1,000 scholarship toward their tuition at SDSU.
Residents of Brookings and SDSU students still have a shot to win. The $1,000 scholarship drawings are open to all SDSU students currently enrolled at SDSU and living in Brookings County. Each week, two scholarship winners will be announced; ten $1,000 scholarships to be given away in total.
For the $50,000 cash prizes, the drawing is open to all residents of Brookings County at least 12 years of age. Winners will be announced Oct. 14. Ten $5,000 cash prizes to be given away in total. The deadline to enter is Oct. 10 by 11:59 p.m. CST. Enter the sweepstakes online by visiting www.swiftelcenter.com/yourshot.
