SIOUX FALLS – Five South Dakota State track and field athletes have been named to the Summit League’s Academic All-League Teams, announced by the league’s office on Wednesday.
Caleb Bray
Sr., Farmington, Minn., Mechanical Engineering, 3.66 GPA
Finished third at the Summit League Championships with a mark of 48.77.
Member of the men’s 4x400 that took bronze at the Summit League Championships with a 3:21.11 (Zenner, Bray, Iverson, Larson).
Held the team’s fastest mark in the 300 (34.59) and 400 (48.06) this season.
Holds the program’s No. 2 all-time mark in the 300 (34.59) and the third best 400 time in Jacks history (48.06)
Thomas Breuckman
So., Andover, Minn., Mechanical Engineering, 3.92 GPA
Anchored the men’s DMR that took second place at the Summit League Championships with a 10:15.65 (Knaus, Kuil, Iverson, Breuckman)
Ran a personal best mile time of 4:11.34 at the Jim Emmerich Invitational (2/25) and a personal best 3000 time of 8:30.98 at the Jack Johnson Classic (2/1)
Sam Zenner
Sr., Eagan, Minn., Operations Management, 3.68 GPA
2020 Summit League champion in the 200 (21.60)
Took bronze in the men’s 60m dash at the Summit League Championships (6.91)
Member of the men’s 4x400 that took bronze at the Summit League Championships with a 3:21.11 (Zenner, Bray, Iverson, Larson)
Holds the SDSU program record in the 60m dash (6.77) and the 200 (21.00)
