Four golf carts reported stolen

LAKE CAMPBELL – Four golf carts were stolen from the Brookings Country Club at Lake Campbell, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The theft was reported Wednesday, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

“The golf carts are Club Car Brand, and they are blue in color and worth $4,500 each,” Sebring said.

“The golf carts are owned by NB Golf Carts of Hendricks, Minnesota, and are leased by the Brookings Country Club. The total loss was $18,000,” he said.

The theft is believed to have happened sometime between Monday, July 1, to Tuesday, July 2, he added.

“It is believed to be related to the same golf cart thefts that occurred in late July of 2018 when two were stolen from the Country Club along with many more golf carts being stolen from other courses in the region,” Sebring said.
