Frances Shizuko Nakaya Davis was born on Sept. 28, 1931, in Los Angeles, California, to Dr. Fusa Taro Nakaya and Edith Washington Morton (Registered Nurse) and died on June 18, 2020. at the Brookings hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2020, at the St. Thomas More Catholic Parish in Brookings. A recording of Fran’s Funeral Mass will be uploaded to the Eidsness Funeral Home website by Friday afternoon. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting Fran’s family with arrangements.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband Harris (2006), her parents, her 5 siblings, and a great-grandchild. Fran is survived by 11 children, 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
