EUGENE, Ore. – Trent Francom’s star-studded 2021 outdoor campaign came to an end on the opening bar Wednesday evening at Hayward Field during the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Francom entered the championships after taking third at the Summit League Championships with a vault of 18-0.50 and second at the West Prelims in College Station with a 17-10.50, but failed to clear the bar on three attempts at 16-10.75 at Hayward Field.
Earlier this year, the SDSU record holder was named second-team All-American at indoor national championships and rewrote State’s school record with a clearance of 18-04.75 at the USD Early Bird back in April.
