Gannon, Law lead ‘Cats at S.F. Lincoln Triangular

SIOUX FALLS – Rachel Gannon and Maci Law each placed in the top five of the all-around competition, as the Bobcats were runners-up to O’Gorman at Tuesday’s Lincoln triangular.

The Lady Knights scored 136.750 points to Brookings’ 135.150 while the Patriots were third with 128.800.

Lizzie Miller of O’Gorman won the uneven bars (8.650) and tied for tops on the balance beam (8.650) with Gannon on the way to the all-around crown with 34.550 points, just .05 points ahead of Gannon’s second-place total.

In addition to the first-place tie on the beam, Gannon placed second on the bars (8.500) and tied for third on the floor exercise (8.850) with O’Gorman’s Emily Dougherty, who was third in the all-around with a 34.000.

OG’s Kenley Cotter was fourth in the all-around (33.600), followed by Law’s fifth-place total of 33.500, as the Bobcat sophomore placed fifth on the floor (8.750) and tied for fifth with Lincoln’s Michaela Mohr on the beam with an 8.550.

Callie DeWitt of O’Gorman tied with Lincoln’s Lexi Hart for first on the vault with a 9.150 as BHS sophomore Cydne Munson had a pair of top-five finishes – third on the bars with an 8.450 and fourth on the beam with an 8.600.

The Bobcats travel to Watertown on Saturday for an invitational that starts at noon.
