Gordon G. Lee, 87, died Sunday, June 11, 2017.  

Memorial services are at 1 p.m. Monday at East Side Lutheran Church in  Sioux Falls. Interment of the urn is at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.  Visitation starts at 2 p.m. Sunday  at George Boom Funeral Home & Crematory in Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends from 2-4 p.m.

Gordon Gale Lee, son of Oscar and Leah (Brown) Lee, was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Arlington.  He graduated from high school in Volga.  Gordon entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 21, 1951, and served during the Korean War, stationed in Germany.  Gordon was honorably discharged on Aug. 28, 1953.  

Gordon married Barbara Clark on May 29, 1955, in Volga. They had five children.  Gordon pursued a long and successful career as a professional residential and commercial painter.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four children, Gloria (Matthew) Ostrander of Grand Island, Neb., Gale (Jill) Lee of Redondo Beach, Calif., Timothy (Tammy) Lee of Tacoma, Wash.,  and Brian (Patricia) Lee of Sioux Falls; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Eunice Isaackson of Albert Lea, Minn, Hazel Schecher of Rapid City, Melvin (Mary) Lee and Stanley Lee, both of Sioux Falls, and Marlys (Roger) Bawdon, of Saltillo, Texas.  

Gordon was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Zuke and son-in-law, Robert Zuke; and two brothers, Eugene Lee and Leon Lee.
