Graphic design students to display works

BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University seniors Kristin Kraft, Brooke Lewandowski and Antonio Phumipraphat will display their senior exhibit March 12-16 at the Ritz Gallery in Grove Hall on the SDSU campus. 

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Ritz Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The students are all majoring in graphic design. 

Their exhibit, titled Graphic Content, includes editorial, publication and web designs, packaging, branding, logo and typography work, motion graphics, printmaking, illustrations, typography, color photography, videography, letterpress, animation, illustrations, intaglio and relief prints.

Kraft is the daughter of Tim and Mary Kraft of Chaska, Minnesota. She is a 2012 graduate of Chaska High School.

Lewandowski will also display her award-winning infographic design, which is an interactive vinyl record album cover titled, “The History of Music.” She is the daughter of Jeff and Michele Lewandowski of Walnut Creek, California, and is a 2013 graduate of Northgate High School in Walnut Creek.

Phumipraphat, a 2013 graduate of Washington High School, is the son of Cherdphan and Chanmaly Phumipraphat of Sioux Falls.

A public reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. March 15.

The Ritz Gallery is located south of SDSU’s University Student Union between Mathews and Brown residence halls. Parking is available in the University Student Union and HPER lots.
