BROOKINGS – The Bombers Gray blanked Brandon Valley, 11-0, in Game 1 and then came back to pull out a 13-12 triumph in Game 2.

Garrett Bothe scattered six hits and walked just one batter while striking out three to earn the complete-game shutout on the mound.
Gray finished with nine hits as Braden Clifford singled and doubled with two runs driven in. Logan Stotz had three singles and two RBIs, while Bayton Mack and Bothe each singled and drove in two runs.
Gavin Fixsen added a pair of hits and scored four times.

The nightcap was a game of big innings as BV scored four in the third and then seven in the sixth to tie the game at 12-12 after Gray had just put an eight-spot on the scoreboard.
But Mack led off the bottom of the sixth with a single; moved to second on a passed ball; stole third; and then, scored on Magnus Nelson’s walk-off single for the one-run win and sweep.
Dillon Scheeley went the distance on the mound to earn the win as he gave up 12 runs – two earned – on 14 hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
Mack finished with three hits and two RBIs as Logan Stotz doubled and drove in three runs. Davis Engen also doubled and drove in a pair of runs as Scheeley helped himself out with two RBIs.
Clifford doubled and drove in one while Nelson finished with two hits and an RBI.
