ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State's Nicole Hatcher and Annie Williams swept the Summit League's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, announced Monday.

The Jackrabbits picked up a 3-0 win at Western Illinois on Sunday with key contributions from both players.

Williams, a junior from Cottage Grove, Minn., scored the opening goal.

Hatcher, a senior from Sioux Falls, assisted on two goals and scored her sixth goal of the season midway through the second half.

Hatcher broke the school's career assists record in the match and now has 22 in a Jackrabbit uniform while rising to the No. 4 spot in school history for career points. She is now tied seventh in the Summit League in career assists and tied for 19th in career points.

This is the third weekly honor for Hatcher this season and the fifth of her career – tied for the fourth-most in Summit League history.

Williams anchored a defensive unit that posted its second consecutive shutout, allowing just seven shots in the match with two on goal. This is her first career Player of the Week accolade.

South Dakota State plays host to IPFW on Thursday and travels to Oral Roberts on Sunday.
