WATERTOWN — The Brookings girls’ golf team tied for sixth place in the Eastern South Dakota Conference meet on Tuesday at Cattail Crossing Golf Course in Watertown.
The Bobcats shot 69-over par on Tuesday and tied with Harrisburg. Mitchell took home the conference team title after shooting +28. Aberdeen finished in second (+33) and Watertown came in third (+45). Pierre came in second (+50) and Yankton rounded out the top five (+66).
Delilah Fuls was the top finisher for the Bobcats and she tied for fifth with a score of 79. Jaden Devine tied for 27th as she shot an 88. Miyah Foerster came in 32nd and she shot a 91. Kamryn Streich was the final player included in scoring for Brookings and she tied for 42nd after shooting a 99. Kyra McClemens and Aubrey Knutzen were the other two golfers for Brookings and they shot a 101 and 109, respectively.
Allison Meyerink of Mitchell came in first place and she shot a four-under 68 on the day. Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun came in second (74) and Pierre’s Hadley Hart came in third (77). Watertown’s Riley Zebroski finished in fourth (78).
Brookings will host the Bill Scholten Invitational on Friday at the Brookings Country Club. The tournament, which was postponed on May 18 due to poor air quality, is set to begin at 9 a.m.
