

High school golf: Flandreau Fliers earn first, Sioux Valley Cossacks take fourth in Pheasants Invitational

PARKER — The Sioux Valley and Flandreau golf teams were among a six-team field that competed in the Pheasant Invitational at the Fisher Grove Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
Both teams will return to action when they take part in the Watertown Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
Sioux Valley
Sioux Valley finished fourth as a team with a total score of 370.
The Cossacks were led by Tate Steffensen, who finished second in the tournament with a score of 73.
Chris Moberg and Pat Quale each shot a 98 for the Cossacks while Jack Opitz rounded out the scoring by shooting a 101.
Flandreau
Flandreau finished in first place at the invite with a score of 346.
Alfie Henderson led the Fliers by shooting a 78 on Thursday while Kaden Burshiem shot an 88.
Jon Burshiem shot an 89 while Luke Sheppard rounded out the scoring with a 91.
