High school volleyball: Sioux Valley, Flandreau each land two All-BEC selections

Flandreau and Sioux Valley each had two players honored by the Big East Conference as All-Conference selections.

Sioux Valley went 14-16 overall and 3-4 in the BEC. Juniors Kaedyn Sapp and Adison Renkly were All-Conference selections. Junior Sunny Hesby and sophomore Talya Vincent were honorable mentions.

Flandreau went 18-10 overall and 4-3 in conference play. The Fliers fell to Miller in the SoDak 16. Seniors Claire Sheppard and Lily Klein were each All-Conference selections. Seniors Lizzie Pavlis and Abby Schoeberly were honorable mentions.

Chester won the Big East after going 30-2 overall and 7-0 in conference play. The Flyers are the No. 2 seed in the Class B State Tournament in Rapid City this weekend. They led the conference with three selections. Baltic and Garretson also had two selections. McCook Central/Montrose, Parker and Beresford each had one selection.
