BROOKINGS – Brookings School District Activities Director Mike Jewett is reminding residents of the district’s newest homecoming tradition, a homecoming parade.

The event starts at 3 p.m. Friday in downtown Brookings, but the area will be blocked off from about 2-4 p.m., Jewett reported.

The parade starts at Sixth Street and Fifth Avenue, near Newman’s Convenience Store. Parade participants will travel south on Fifth Avenue, turn west and travel one block on Front Street, and turn north onto Main Avenue until reaching Goodwill.
