Modern Woodmen honored members of the Aurora community for their volunteer service.
Rod Brandenburger, above, and Chuck Friedrich, below, from Aurora are pictured receiving an award from Representative Bob Weisbeck, as part of Modern Woodmen’s Hometown Hero award. They received the award for their exceptional volunteer service to the community. Modern Woodmen will donate $100 in each of their names to the charities of choice. Brandenburger donated his to the Aurora Fire Department, and Friedrich will donate his to the Brookings Hospice program. Another recipient, Rick Bauer from Aurora, also was an award recipient but was unable to attend to receive his award.
Modern Woodmen of America is a fraternal financial services provider that is member owned and provides community support through fundraisers and community service projects, along with other programs, as part of its way of giving back to the community.
