House, shed spray painted

BROOKINGS – A house was damaged with spray paint over the weekend, according to Brookings Police.

The damage was reported on Saturday and occurred in the 400 block of Third Avenue South, Lt. Marci Gebers said.

“The suspect or suspects used red spray paint and spray-painted the back side of the reporting party’s trailer house,” Gebers said.

“Through the course of the investigation, the officer was able to locate another resident in the area, a neighbor, who had their garden shed spray painted,” Gebers said.

There is no damage estimate yet and no suspects at this time, she added.
