The U13 Select girls’ team, which is made up of players from Brookings and Watertown, won the championship at the Hub City Soccer Club Winter Invite last weekend in Aberdeen.
The Select squad went 2-0-1 in pool play, beating HCSC Team Blizzard 1-0 and Minot Magic FC 6-2 while playing to a 1-1 draw with DUSC U13G. In the semifinals, they beat BHR U13G Burgundy 5-3.
The Select toppled DUSC U13G 4-2 in the final.
