HURON – The Tigers tamed the Bobcats in straight sets in Eastern South Dakota Conference volleyball action on Tuesday.
Huron won by set scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-19 to improve to 12-10 overall and 8-7 in the ESD.
Brookings drops to 5-14 on the season and 5-11 in conference play.
Annika Johnson and Grace Eggebrecht led the Bobcat offensive effort with six kills apiece while Johanna Miller and Kylie Tucker each chipped in with five kills and two block assists.
Michaela Jewett tallied 28 set assists to go along with seven digs; Miranda Ysbrand notched 16 digs and an ace serve; Emma Hardin collected 11 digs; and Megan Gilk contributed 10 digs and an ace.
Brookings travels to Sioux Falls on Thursday to face Sioux Falls Washington in its regular-season finale.
