The Flandreau 13-14 team won the I-29 Baseball League Tournament last weekend, outscoring its four opponents a combined 48-4.
On Friday, Flandreau beat Madison White 12-1 and Tri-Valley White 15-0. In the first game, Ethan Hoffman went 3-for-3 and Logan Voelker was 2-for-2. Camden Schmidt earned the pitching win. In Game 2, Voelker was 3-for-3 with six RBIs and Lane Johanson finished 1-for-2. Kolby Peters picked up the victory on the mound.
Flandreau topped Dells L 12-0 on Saturday. Schmidt tossed a no-hitter. Hoffman was 3-for-4 at the plate and Tristan Peters ended up 2-for-3.
Flandreau capped the championship run with a 9-3 defeat of Garretson in Sunday’s title game. Kelly Lewis earned the pitching win and went 1-for-2 with three RBIs at the plate. Schmidt ended up 3-for-4 and Kolby Peters added a pair of hits in three at-bats.
Elkton beat Canova 11-10 in the third-place game.
A total of 18 teams from Baltic, Canova, Dell Rapids, Elkton, Flandreau, Garretson, Madison, Parker, Salem-Montrose, Tea, Tri Valley, Volga and West Central competed in the event.
