The vandalism and burglary were reported at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and occurred at 47717 South Dakota Highway 324 in rural Elkton, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
“It was found that someone had broken two windows out of an old shed and also entered a machine shed and stole a red bolt cutter, a yellow 50-foot extension cord, two six-pronged fish spears, a yellow 2,000 pound floor jack, and a trail camera,” Sebring said.
The theft occurred sometime between Thursday to when it was noticed on Saturday, he added.
