Dallas Goedert (Philadelphia Eagles) SDSU: 2014-17

Weekly Notes: Goedert played 17 snaps on offense and another six snaps on special teams in his NFL regular-season debut on Thursday night, an 18-12 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The South Dakota State alum caught one ball for four yards on three total targets throughout the night.

His first career target came in the second quarter with 7:43 left to play. It was a deep vertical pass along the right sideline from quarterback Nick Foles into the endzone. Goedert brought in the 19-yard pass on first down, but could only manage one foot in-bounds. The Eagles settled for a field goal, tying the game at three all.

On his second target, the tight end brought in his first career catch in the NFL - a four-yard grab on the shallow right side of the field. It was the first play of their second drive in the third quarter with 10:11 to play, down 6-3.

In the fourth quarter, up 10-6 with 10:45 left to play, Foles looks for the Goedert down the left hash but he gets hit as soon as he catches it and the ball juggles into the air just long enough for it to be intercepted.
