Jackrabbits well represented on Commissioner’s List

ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State University student-athletes combined to be honored 105 times on the 2017-18 Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence, which was announced Thursday.

Four different Jackrabbit teams featured at least 10 student-athletes on the honor squad, which recognizes student-athletes who completed the 2017-18 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.0-or-higher. In addition, student-athletes must have used a year of eligibility and previously completed at least one academic year at the nominating institution.

A total of 538 student-athletes were honored league wide. Following is a list of SDSU honorees:

Baseball (5): Derek Feige, Philip Jacobson, Newt Johnson, Brady Moxham, Anthony Schneider.

Women’s Basketball (5): Megan Bultsma, Madison Guebert, Tagyn Larson, Macy Miller, Ellie Thompson.

Men’s Cross Country (8): Kyle Burdick, Evan Fick, Connor Haaland, Samuel Ivanecky, Chandler Klawitter, Ray Munsterman, Sebastian Sowada, Jacob Wills.
