James Charles Horgan, age 64, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Friday morning on May 20, 2022, joining his parents Gerald and Lorell Horgan, and father-in-law Howard Helberg, in heaven.
He was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on April 16, 1958.
Jim worked as the youth pastor for Bethesda church of Minneapolis for seven years before becoming a licensed psychologist, working in his private practice and throughout the Marshall area.
He is survived by his wife Leann, married 41 years; three children Kelly (Israel) Montes, Kent Horgan and Alex (Rodolfo) Landeros; siblings Cheryl Martinez, Tim (Liz) Horgan, Layne (Raelee) Horgan and Dawn (Pat) Cunningham; many nieces and nephews; and grandchildren Azael (7), Yelitza (3).
Jim had a great sense of humor and always made everyone feel welcome. In his free time he loved hunting, camping, hiking, biking, traveling, tinkering with various projects, spending time with his family, and with playing with his grandchildren.
A celebation of Jim Horgan will be held at Grace United Methodist Church “The Gathering Place,” 200 North Main St., Hendricks, MN 56136, Friday, May 27. There will be an 11 a.m. service followed by lunch.
