SIOUX FALLS – Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa capped a standout junior season with a state title, posting an 11-stroke victory in the Class AA State Girls’ Golf Tournament at Bakker Crossing.
Jansa closed with a 3-under-par 68 on Tuesday for an 8-under 134 total.
She opened the final round with a birdie and followed it up with an eagle 3 at the second and never wavered.
She totaled 10 birdies, an eagle and four bogeys (two each round) in the event.
O’Gorman shot 313 to wrap up the team title. The Knights posted a 36-hole score of 622.
Mitchell (327) was second at 657 and Aberdeen Central (333) ended up third with a 666 total.
Brookings shot 365 for the second consecutive day and finished 11th with a 730 tally.
OG’s Shannon McCormick (73), Lauren Sutcliffe (78) and Emily Kolb (77) were second through fourth individually with respective totals of 3-over 145, 151 and 152.
The Kernels’ Masy Mock (77) rounded out the top five with a 153.
The Bobcats’ Delilah Fuls tied for 10th at 160. She carded back-to-back 80s.
Ashton Austreim posted a 91 Tuesday and ended up 25th with a 172 total.
Kyra McClemans (99) tied for 54th at 193; Paige Mahlke (95) was 73rd at 205; Grace Fickbohm (105) finished 86th at 225; and Jaden Devine (107) wound up 87th with a 228 total.
