Jansa shoots 66 on Day 1; Bobcats in 10th

SIOUX FALLS – Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa continued her torrid stretch and O’Gorman grabbed the opening-round lead in the team standings at the Class AA State Girls’ Golf Tournament on Monday at Bakker Crossing.

Jansa racked up seven birdies en route to a 5-under-par 66 (34-32).

She holds a six-stroke advantage.

The Knights’ Shannon McCormick (72) and Lauren Sutcliffe (73) are second and third respectively. Emily Kolb (75) sits in fifth.

Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Claire Young shot 74 and is fourth.

OG carded a 309 on Day 1.

Mitchell (330) is second and Aberdeen Central (333) third.

Brookings shot 365 and is in 10th place.

Delilah Fuls carded an 80 and is currently tied for 10th individually.

Ashton Austreim was a shot behind in a tie for 13th, firing an 81.

Kyra McClemans (94) is tied for 42nd and Paige Mahlke (110) is tied for 80th to complete the team tally.

Also for the Bobcats, Grace Fickbohm (120) is tied for 87th and Jaden Devine (121) is 89th.

The tourney wraps up today.
