Jeep stolen from downtown parking lot

BROOKINGS – A Jeep was reported stolen last week from a parking lot and has not been found, according to Brookings Police.

The 2005 white Jeep Grand Cherokee was reported stolen about 12:30 p.m. Friday, Assistant Chief Derrick Powers said. 

“There’s a dent in the rear driver’s side door and the vehicle has a black bug guard on the hood,” he added.

It was last seen in the 400 block of Third Avenue on May 20.

“It was left parked in a parking lot there with the keys in the vehicle,” Powers said.

“As of right now (Tuesday morning), the vehicle hasn’t been recovered,” he said.
