Jessi Leigh Anderson, 21, of Yankton, South Dakota died unexpectedly as a result of an accident on June 29, 2017.

 Mass of Christian burial is at 2 p.m., on Monday, July 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton with the Rev. Larry Regynski officiating.  Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.

 Jessi was born on Sept. 26, 1995, in Yankton, to Lance and Lisa (Albers) Anderson.  She graduated from Yankton High School in 2014 and was involved in volleyball during her high school years. Jessi was currently a student at the South Dakota State University in Brookings, majoring in sociology with a human services specialization. Jessi and her older brother, Austin were very close and adored one another. Their bond was something special. She loved family vacations and they will be treasured forever.  

She also loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. Jessi always had a tender heart and caring for others was her passion. 

Jessi will be dearly missed by her parents, Lance and Lisa Anderson of Yankton; brother, Austin of Omaha, Neb., and his fiancé, Meghan; grandparents, Wayne and Mary Lou Anderson of Yankton and Randy and Janet Albers of Rapid City; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
