SIOUX FALLS – Michaela Jewett had a big game as the Bobcats cruised past Roosevelt 56-31 in a nonconference girls’ basketball game Saturday night.
The Augustana commit dropped in 33 points – tying a career high – on 11-of-18 shooting, including a 5-of-7 clip from 3-point range. She grabbed nine rebounds.
Brookings led 13-9 after a quarter, extended the lead to 32-17 at halftime and was on top by a 49-23 margin through three.
Johanna Miller added 10 points and six boards. Ava Burns scored eight points, dished out six assists and corralled six rebounds.
For the Rough Riders (0-3), Tariah Ambrose went 6-of-9 from the field for 12 points.
Brookings (2-1) is host to Watertown on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
