BROOKINGS – Construction is well underway to renovate a space at the University Mall for a new Jo-Ann Fabrics store in Brookings. The front façade of the space between Dollar Tree and Profile by Sanford was off the building this week, with contractors working on the site.
According to the City of Brookings website, the lot owner is Legacy Equity Group, and the contractor is Clark Drew Construction. The building permit was issued on July 31 for a tenant build-out for Jo-Ann Fabrics at 930 22nd Ave. S., estimated at $350,000.
Jo-Ann Fabrics has not released details on the new store.
