Joe Lower, 73, of Watertown was born on Aug, 27, 1943, in Wahpeton, N.D., and died on April 8, 2017.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Watertown. the Rev. Paul Janke will officiate. Visitation will take place prior to services on Wednesday. There will be a family prayer service at 10:00 a.m.
Burial, with military honors, will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minn.
Joe loved to hunt, fish, and trap. He was known for his witty sense of humor and his expansive knowledge of the outdoors, history and politics.
He is survived by his daughter, Jolene; son, Craig (Amy); a grandson; siblings, Irene (Ray), Earl, Eugene (Marian), June (Brad), Judy (Walter), Joyce, Jewell; and his special friend, Twyla Gjerde.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Regina and Lester.
