WEBSTER – Deubrook Area’s Josie Olsen won the girls’ 5K in 20 minutes, 0.42 seconds and Deubrook Area totaled 26 points to take the team title at the Webster Area Invite on Monday.
The host Bearcats were second with 36 points.
Sargent Central/Lodgerwood’s Dreah Frolek (20:19.63) was the individual runner-up and Dakota Hills’ Victoria Zirbel (20:31.33) finished third.
Deubrook’s Andrea Vandermeer was eighth in 21:15.77. Cortney Bauman (23:21.86) and Shaylee DeBeer (23:23.97) were 15th and 16th, respectively. Makenna Christiansen (26:1.81) took 26th and Mattie Nepodal (27:56.07) 36th.
On the boys’ side, Webster Area won the team crown with 26 points and Warner (32) was second. Estelline (85) came in in sixth.
The Bearcats’ Maxwell Kuecker was medalist with a 17:34.41 clocking and Florence/Henry’s Grant DeWitt (18:01.83) was second.
Braden Held paced the Redmen, placing eighth in 19:02.98. Justin Buschenfeld (22:01.32) was 34th, Dallis Trego (22:49.7) 41st and Jacob Buschenfeld (23:33.55) 46th.
Deubrook’s Mason Ramlo was 20th in 20:21.06 and Parker Crooks (21:31.97) took 32nd.
