Judith A. Bruinsma, 75, of Estelline, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019, at Lake Norden Care and Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Estelline. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Geise Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 Judith Ann Heibult was born on April 20, 1944 in Estelline, the daughter of Richard and Jabina (Hector) Heibult. She grew up in Estelline and was a graduate of Estelline High School in 1963. She worked in Watertown for a short time and also briefly lived in California. She was married to LeRoy Koepke, Sr. on February 14, 1971. From this marriage she was blessed with two daughters, Lynn and LaDeane. On November 14, 1980, Judy was united in marriage to Donald Bruinsma. The couple were blessed with two children, Sandra and Cory. Judy worked as a CNA at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center until her retirement in April of 2006.

 Judy enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, puzzles, puzzle books and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Judy was a jokester and loved to have fun. She was meticulous in everything she did, whether it was housekeeping, holiday decorating, scrapbooking or work.

 Judy is survived by her husband, Donald Bruinsma, of Estelline; four children, Lynn (Jerry) Squashingroff, of Estelline, LaDeane Harrison, of Brookings, Sandra Bruinsma (fiancé, Brian VanderLugt) of Brookings, and Cory (Denise) Bruinsma, of Estelline; grandson, Triston Errickson, of Estelline, granddaughter, Bailey Harrison, of Brookings, step granddaughter, Morgan Squashingroff, of Estelline; her brother, Harlan Heibult, of Flandreau and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jabina Heibult; three sisters, Viola Southern, Willie Peterson and Lois Erickson and one brother Willis Heibult.
