Mrs. Judy Lynne Wellberg, better known as Lynne, age 78 of Winfield, AL, formerly of Brookings, SD, passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 in the Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
Lynne was born in Bessemer, Alabama on Oct. 28, 1944, to Paul Jackson and Dorothy Parks McInnish. She earned a degree in Cosmetology, a Bachelor of Science degree from Athens State and her Master of Science in Environmental Management from Samford University. Lynne was baptized on Oct. 1, 1957. She was united in marriage to James R. Harris and God blessed their marriage with three children: Connie, Chele and James. Over the course of 25 years Lynne worked for 3M in the states of AL, IN and SD. She retired from 3M in 2002. After her retirement Lynne enjoyed antique shopping, going to auctions, looking for antique canning jars, quilting and going to the Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves baseball games.
She was united in marriage to Brian Wellberg on Nov. 29, 2002. On July 13, 2003, she was confirmed and joined Our Savior Lutheran Church.
A few years later she began to serve as a part-time secretary for the church, a position she held until June of 2021 when Brian and she moved to AL.
Lynne enjoyed attending the Thursday morning 9 a.m. Bible study at Our Savior. Lynne is survived by her husband of 20 years, Brian Wellberg, children, Connie Harris-Bunker of Decatur, Chele Miles (Wade) of Winfield, and James Harris (Christyan) of Huntsville, stepson, Brandon Wellberg (Rio), grandchildren, Ashley Marie Terral, Boone Bussey, Bailee Rose Bradshaw (Dwain) and Connor Harris, great-grandchildren, Lavender Terral, Lola Terral, Duke Bradshaw and Demi Bradshaw, sisters, Joan Wimmer and Paula McInnish and a brother, Paul Wayne McInnish, her precious fur baby, Tinker, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and other relatives and friends. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents and the father of her children, James R. Harris.
A memorial service for Lynne will be held at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brookings, SD on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022.
 Visitation will be held the same day beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of service. A lunch will follow the service at the church after which Lynne’s remains will be laid to rest at Lake Benton Memorial Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Our Savior Lutheran Church and School.
