BROOKINGS – Isabella Kappenman, a 2018 graduate of Brookings High School, is now marching with the University of Minnesota band. Kappenman is a member of the drumline for the Gophers.

Kappenman has been selected as a recipient of a four-year marching band scholarship at the University of Minnesota.

James and Carmen Campbell sponsor the scholarship. The CLA scholarship is based on academic merit, financial need and anticipation of student excellence.

The four-year scholarship requires a full-time student status, continue in CLA, maintain a degree-seeking status and a minimum 3.0 grade-point average.

Kappenman has a declared major in animal science at the U of M.  She plans a career in veterinary science.

While marching with the Brookings High School band, Kappenman was a proven leader and committed to higher education and involvement in band activities.
