Kiwanis names Students of the Month

Nick Teal and TJ Cass have been named Kiwanis Students of the Month.

Teal  has been active with the theater program at Brookings High School. He has work with the sound and lighting crew and is a member of the Thespians. He has also worked with broadcast media. He is a member of the National Honor Society.

Teal is an Eagle Scout. His project was building nine bat houses at McCrory Garden to help control the mosquito population.

He also works at Pinnacle Productions in Sioux Falls. His parents are Curt and Barb Teal.

He plans to major in electrical engineering.

Chris and Tim Cass are the parents of TJ. She has been active in choir at Brookings High School and is a member of the National Honor Society. Before high school she was active in the student council.

Cass has been most active in the Brookings Figure Skating Club, where she has received “Most Dedicated” award for four years and BFSC Gold Scholar for six years.

She plans to attend college with majors in film production or biology.
