Lady Elks, Hawks, Redhawks, Dolphins post DVC wins


ELKTON – Elkton-Lake Benton swept De Smet in a Dakota Valley Conference volleyball match Tuesday night.

The Lady Elks won by the set scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-11.

Hannah Krog racked up 15 kills while adding a pair of aces serves, a solo block and eight digs.

Emily Miller added 10 kills and Aubrey Wirth five to go with two aces and two solo blocks.

Julia Drietz dished out 31 set assists.

Brooklyn Nielsen, who netted four aces, came up with 10 digs and Rachel Krog, who had two aces, added nine digs. Kailyn Drietz finished with two aces, two solo blocks, an ace and seven digs.

The Lady Bulldogs’ Kennadi Bucholz finished with five solo blocks and four kills.

 Colman-Egan 3, Lake Preston 0

COLMAN – The Hawks topped the Divers 25-8, 25-7, 25-15 in the DVC matchup.

Olivia Baumberger totaled six kills and a pair of blocks in the win. Braiden Westley also had six kills to go with three aces.

Mackenzie Hemmer added four kills and four aces. Elizabeth Moore had four kills.

Jordan Wittrock (12) and Kennadi Landis (four) combined for 16 set assists. Wittrock also contributed a trio of aces.

Lake Preston’s Marissa Rober and Annika Nelson both had a pair of kills. Nelson added one block and Jocelyn netted an ace. Ava Malone came up with six digs.

 Estelline/Hendricks 3, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 0

ESTELLINE – The Redhawks dropped the Raiders 25-21, 25-15, 25-16 in a Dakota Valley Conference showdown.

Estelline/Hendricks improved to 7-1 (2-0).

Sophie Johnson had 11 kills and 10 digs. Cora Hofer added four kills and a block.

Kiersten Vukelich netted a trio of service aces.

Kaylee Johnson guided the offense with 18 set assists.

ORR’s Alivia Spilde had five kills and a block. Rylie Aschmeller added four kills.

Sine Matson came up with 25 digs and Kylie Anderson added 19 to go with a pair of aces. Paig Hanson added two aces. Khloe Tieman notched 16 digs.

 Deubrook Area 3, Flandreau 1

WHITE – The Dolphins defeated the Fliers 18-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

 Castlewood 3, Arlington 0

ARLINGTON – The Warriors dropped the Cardinals 25-18, 25-21, 27-25.

Castlewood’s Cala Hunter posted a double-double of 12 kills and 14 digs. Alayna Benike added eight kills, four aces, a block assist and 11 digs.

Layce Kooima dished out 22 set assists.

Arlington’s Hadley Carlson totaled 12 kills.

Grace Parry had 23 set assists and four aces. Kasey Pistulka came up with 13 digs.

Jennica Weiss recorded five kills and a pair of solo blocks.

MONDAY

 Wolsey-Wessington 3, Lake Preston 1

WOLSEY – The Lady Warbirds defeated the Divers 25-16, 24-26, 25-17, 25-16 in a nonconference match.

Lizzi Brandt had 11 kills and four aces for Wolsey-Wessington (1-2). Mya Boomsma added 11 kills and Corney Sprecher eight to go with six blocks and a trio of aces.

Hailey Clarke dished out 39 set assists. Carly Marani came up with 11 digs and netted a pair of aces.

Lake Preston’s Annika Nelson had eight kills, three blocks, two aces and 15 digs. Brenna Woodcock contributed seven kills and Marissa Rober tallied five to go with five aces and 23 digs.

Holly Andrews notched 16 set assists. Ava Malone had 18 digs and an ace. Jocelyn Steffensen recorded two blocks.
