BROOKINGS – Sylvia Larson, a South Dakota State University senior from Harrisburg, will perform her senior recital at 4 p.m. Sept. 15. The recital will be held in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.
Larson, a music education major and clarinetist, will feature various works to resemble a vocal recital as an homage to her South Dakota State University singing career. She will be assisted by Mary Ermel and Emily Misner.
The recital incorporates various music with several different languages and time periods. Her repertoire includes works from German composer Carl Maria Von Weber, French composers Darius Milhaude and Maurice Ravel, and American composer David Maslanka.
