BROOKINGS – South Dakota Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense program, announced Dr. Daniel Little with D.E. Little, DVM Precision Health Technologies in Brookings was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of his service member employee.

The Patriot Award, created by ESGR, publicly recognizes individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who, like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve.

Little was nominated for being highly supportive of his employee, who serves in the Army National Guard, Spc. Kristi Corcoran.

Corcoran said she nominated Little for the award to thank him for his support of her duties in the National Guard,  including flexible schedules, time off for inspections and training time, and allowing her time to care for her military family, as well as her family at home.

Quoting Corcoran, along with Spc. Tony Thooft and SFC Bo Ivers who also work with Dr Little, said “it was our pleasure to nominate, and have recognized, Dr. Little as a South Dakota Employer in the Support of the National Guards and Reserve. Dr. Little does more than say, ‘Thank you for your Service.’”

"He shows his support by hiring current members of the Guard and Reserve, while ensuring they have the time to complete the ever-increasing commitment to their military duties.”

Little is the president and CEO of both D.E. Little, DVM and Precision Health Technologies. Precision Health Technologies is an innovative animal health company founded by Little in 2015 utilizing his knowledge and experience in livestock production systems to develop, manufacture and promote natural solutions for optimal animal health.

D.E. Little, DVM provides management consulting services to promote sustainable animal production and processing systems by applying current technology, nutrition management, and proactive business practices to assure animal comfort, environmental quality, food safety, production efficiency, and client profitability.
