Louis G. “Louie” Kramer, 92, of Flandreau, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society – Lennox.  

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Visitation is 5 – 7 p.m. Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a 7 p.m. prayer service

Louie was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Chester, the son of George and Anna (Hemmer) Kramer.  The family moved to the Flandreau area where Louie attended country school.  Louie enlisted in the U.S. Army in January of 1947 and was honorably discharged in June of 1948. He married Violet Bach on June 20, 1949, at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Flandreau. They lived on a farm west of Flandreau until 1965.  The family moved to a farm west of Baltic in 1965. In 1973, the family moved back to a farm northeast of Flandreau.  Louie farmed and milked cows.  In 2000 he and Violet moved into Flandreau.  Violet died in 2008.  In February 2018, Louie moved into the Good Samaritan Society – Lennox.  

Louie is survived by his children, Greg (Marianne) Kramer of Flandreau, Anna (Larry) Meade of Papillion, Nebraska, and LaVonne (Myron) Linneman of Sioux Falls; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, George, Jim and Mary; sister-in-law, Alfreda Bach; and several nieces and nephews.  

Louie was preceded in death by his wife, Violet; his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley (Marvin) Todd; and siblings, Ed, Tom, John, Sam, Margaret and Norbert.
