Lundin leads Rough Riders past Bobcats

BROOKINGS – Jack Lundin earned medalist honors as Sioux Falls Roosevelt defeated the Bobcats 293-331 in a boys’ golf dual Friday afternoon at Brookings Country Club.

The junior carded a 3-under-par 69. He shot 36 on the front and 33 on the back.

Garett Everson was runner-up at 73 (38-35). Roland Siverling (37-38—75) and Karsten Kern (39-37—76) placed third and fourth, respectively, to round out the Rough Riders’ team tally.

Senior Drew Cole paced the Bobcats with a 79 after closing strong with a 37 on the inward nine. He ended up in fifth place.

Jordan Svobodny shot 82, and Jesse Roberts and Alec Rice both added 85s to complete the team score.

Brookings returns to action with the Huron Invitational on Friday at 10 a.m. at Broadland Creek.
