Macy Miller is Summit League Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – For the second time this season, South Dakota State junior Macy Miller was honored as Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.

Miller, who was the Nov. 13 Summit League Player of the Week and is a two-time Summit League Mid-Major Player of the Week already this season, helped lead the Jackrabbits to a 2-0 week.

The guard averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, one assist and one steals while shooting 50 percent from the field, 50 percent from 3-point range and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line.

The Mitchell native registered a game-high 17 points and added six rebounds in the win over Oklahoma on Dec. 6. Miller then registered her fourth 20-plus point game of the season with a game-high 22 points in the win over Bowling Green on Dec. 9. She also had a game-high nine rebounds.

Miller has been named Summit League Player of the Week six times in her career.

The 8-2 Jackrabbits begin a two-game road swing Friday when they play at Creighton at 4 p.m. SDSU then visits Drake on Sunday for a 2 p.m. contest.
